Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday. I didn’t bring the new year in with a big bang, I conked out at about 10pm laying in bed on my computer…lol. but I did enjoy spending an awesome New Year’s Eve day with my family driving up the North Shore and stopping at a few beaches to watch some amazing waves and then a pretty sunset. One of my resolutions for this year is to definitely get out and make the most of this wonderful island I’m blessed to live on. Here are a few scenic pictures from our New Years’s Eve day.
How did you all spend your New Year’s Eve?
In honor of London Fashion Week and also due to the fact that I have been under the weather for the past couple of days and have no new style pics to post since I’ve been in my pajamas for the past 48 hours, I have decided to revisit my pictures from London. The Mr. and I went to London in October of 2008 for the NFL game they have every year. Our beloved San Diego Chargers were playing against the New Orleans Saints. Being that we both are big sports fans, we had a great time at Wembley Stadium and visiting Wimbledon and also for me Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. I got to hang out with a couple of british supermodels and one heck of a designer…hehe Of course can’t forget the awesomeness of the Beckham’s. We didn’t get to see as much as we would have liked, which I admit now was my fault. I was a little over two months pregnant with our first child and all I really wanted to do was lay down, eat and sleep…lol. Now remember when I first started this In Retrospect series I told you that my style was a bit ummm…er well non existent to say the least. Well now you can see for yourself. But in my defense again let me reiterate I was just a little over two months pregnant with our first child and tired all of the time. Plus it was rainy, cold and gloomy and I just was not feeling trying to be cute. I was more about comfort and trying to stay warm…lol If we ever make it back to London I promise I now know how to dress comfortable, warm and stylish at the same time and I’m sure I won’t be pregnant…lol Enjoy the pics!
Part 2 In Retrospect is Praia do Tamariz, which is the beach area right up from Sao Joao do Estoril in Portugal. There is a beautiful castle that sits right on the boardwalk overlooking the rocky beach. I hadn’t ever seen anyone walking around or sitting out, so I wasn’t sure if anyone lived there or not. I know if I lived there I would have been standing or sitting out people watching and gazing upon the ocean. It was definitely in a marvelous location with an awesome view. Can you imagine living in an actual castle and hearing the ocean as you went to sleep at night? A girl can only dream….sigh
In 2007 I was blessed with the opportunity to join my husband in Portugal. During our time there we visited some awe-inspiring places. I thought it would be neat to revisit some of these beautiful places; through my pictures at least. Now I will admit that looking back on some of these pictures I had not type of style going on but the places were beautiful and I want to share them with you. So you can say I am taking one for the team…lol In Retrospect will be a series. Each part will be a different location. I will post them randomly as I can compile them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I believe I will. :)
We moved to Oahu in January of 2010, the year they decided not to have the Pro Bowl here in Honolulu but Miami. I was disappointed because I was looking forward to attending the game. In 2011 I moved back to California while my husband was deployed, so yet again we missed the Pro Bowl. They say the third time is a charm, and luckily for me it was.
