Navy and Fuchsia

Hello Lovelies!

DSC01140_pp

Have you ever made a suit out of two pieces that didn’t come together  or even from the same store?  Well that is what I did here. Remember a while back when I was showing you my closet and talking about editing, because I had so much and could never find anything to wear?  Well I found these navy pants hidden in between a few things.  I’ve had them for months and completely forgot  about them.  I was able to see  this blazer that I’ve had for quite a few months as well and noticed that they were both the same color.   I never wore them together before, because I could not see them.  what do you know they go together perfectly, so now I have a navy suit. ;)DSC01142_pp

Feeling Bold

Hello friends, I hope this post is finding you all well this wonderful Wednesday. I think when you pair leopard print and the color red together you are definitely making a statement.  That is exactly what I wanted to do.  I was thrilled about this blazer from Zara.  Although I just knew the sleeves would be too short for me I decided to go ahead and order it online anyway because I loved the print and figure I could just roll or push up the sleeves.  But to my pleasant surprise when the blazer arrived and I tried it on, the sleeves were actually long enough.  Yes I did my happy dance..lol  I thought now what to wear with and I was like I wish  had a pair of red pants.  I have skinny jeans but didn’t want to go tight on the bottom.  So I decided to make one of my first pair of pants.  For one of my firsts I actually liked how they turned out.  I wanted loose-fitting trouser style and I think these fit the bill.  Although my next attempt with pants will be a fit and flare type, where they are fitted through the rear and thighs and start to flare from the knee.  Hopefully I can pull those off. Feeling quite bold Tanasha? …why yes I am. ;)

What I’m Wearing:

Leopard Print Jacket – Zara

Black Tanktop – Bershka

Red Trousers – DIY

Black Booties – Chistian Siriano for Payless

Black Clutch – DIY

So tell me my friends are you “bold” enough to wear leopard and red together? How do you feel about this pairing? I’d love to know, please share in the comments. :)

Celebrity Inspired Look- Olive Green Khaki’s

Yesterday I had a great afternoon with my Hawaii bestie.   She is a beautiful curvy Latina, who stands a little over 5’11 and she embraces her height wonderfully. She loves to say she is 6 feet tall…lol Whenever we are together it is always a good time filled with many stories, laughs and great adventures. Kind of like Oprah and Gail….lol We had a tasty lunch of shrimp parmesan pasta from Ruby Tuesday’s and then she showed me a two-story Ross, that I didn’t know they had on the island.  I found a cute bright coral purse by Nine West that is perfect for Spring and a taupish colored pair of round toe pumps with a 1 1/2″ heel in my size 12.  I couldn’t believe it! I was really happy, rarely have I ever seen a women’s size 12 pair of shoes in Ross and they actually had women’s shoes up to a size 13.  So if you have (ahem) longer feet like I do, and there is a Ross Dress for Less near you make sure you check out their shoe department you just may get lucky. What I wore yesterday was a look inspired by two of my favorite fashionista’s, Victoria Beckham (love her) and Kim Kardashian (love her style). I loved the casual chicness of their looks and hoped I would be able to pull it off too. ;)

I’m Seeing Red (Jeans)

In all of my fashion magazines lately I’ve been seeing colored skinny jeans.  Red, blue, yellow, pink and every other color of the rainbow.  The most popular color right now seems to be red.  When I see them worn by a celebrity or a stylish girl on the street I always wonder if I with my 6’4″ frame, could get away with wearing them.  Or would it be just too much. While perusing Old Navy.com, as I usually do at least once a week, I found that they had colored skinny jeans in Tall sizes. So I decided to give them a try and scooped up three pair, red, blue and pink.  When I first tried them on my initial thought was that they were a tad to tight but then I remembered they are supposed to fit like a glove. So after walking around in them for a bit I really liked them and the length was perfect.  Which sometimes is very hard to find for a tall girl like myself. Here are some pics of how I wore my new red skinny jeans.
