Olive and Honey Gold

Hello lovely people, I hope you all are having a terrific Tuesday!DSC01525_pp

Today I am wearing a new color combination that I haven’t tried before and really like.  Olive and honey, the names seem to go together just as perfectly as the color pairing.

The neutral unassuming olive, tones down what could otherwise be a somewhat loud honey gold.  DSC01578

As you can tell I am loving my new Coach bag that the hubby picked out himself and surprised me with.  Love the detail, structure and color of the leather.DSC01524_pp

A cute and casual look that says I’m not afraid to try new things, within reason of course. ;) DSC01544_pp

Honey Gold Skinny Ankle Jeans – Oldnavy.com (tall)

So tell me is this a color pairing that you’d be willing to try?

No nonsense Tights and Leggings – 2 Looks

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of No nonsense. All opinions are 100% mine. No nonsense tights and leggings can be found at food and drug stores as well as mass retail stores.

Living in Hawaii I don’t often have the opportunity to layer up very much because of the consistently warm temperatures here on the island.  But I was excited when I received my No nonsense tights and leggings in the mail.  I received a pair of No nonsense leggings in black and a pair of textured fashion tights in black.  The leggings were a bit short on me which was expected since I’m 6’4″ tall. They stopped about 2 inches above my ankles, but I always wear leggings during the fall and winter season inside of  my boots, so this did not bother me.  What I loved the most about these leggings is the way they feel.  They are so comfortable and super smooth.  Now if No nonsense made them in an extra long version, I would be one super happy tall girl.  Now on the other hand the super cute tights were surprisingly long enough.  They were a size m/l and super stretchy.  They went all the way up and did not ride down at all.  These tights are definitely a new-found favorite of mine.

The great thing about wearing leggings are they are a quick, easy and comfy way to get dressed and still look cute and pulled together by simply throwing on an oversized cardigan, sweater or shirt. Quick, easy and comfy are all needed for moms on the go and running errands on the weekend.

What I’m Wearing #1:

Cardigan – Missoni for Target

Top – Old Navy

Leggings – (courtesy of) No nonsense

Boots – Via Spiga via Nordstrom Rack

Bag – Louis Vuitton

Necklace – Forever 21

WhenI laid my eyes on these No nonsense tights and the super cute laced texture I knew immediately that I wanted to play on the edgy-girl look.  So I paired them with a flirty skirt and moto jacket to help achieve the look.  This is my first time ever wearing textured tights and I have to say I will adding more of these to my closet.  I think they are a great way to add visual interest and fun to a simple ensemble.

What I’m Wearing:

Jacket – Topshop

Dress – Anne Klein via Ross

Shoes – Christian Siriano for Payless

Earrings – Forever 21

Tights – (courtesy of) No nonsense

Pretty Tall Style Muse: Michelle Obama

No matter what your political affiliation,  you have to admit that our current first lady, is one of the most fashionable tall women of our time.  A statuesque 5′ 10.5  tall, she exudes intelligence, power, beauty, confidence, strength, and style.  Which is why she is a Pretty Tall Style Muse.  What I love most about the first lady’s style, is that it is classic and timeless.  She mixes high and low-end pieces with panache and her clothing is real world wearable .  When I see pictures of her, I often think I can wear that and actually afford it as well. I love how she uses color and isn’t afraid to wear bold prints. Whether she is dressed casual to play in the park with children or headed to a presidential ball she always exudes class and  effortless chic. If there is anything we can learn from Michelle Obama it is not to be afraid to wear color or bold prints and that confidence and charisma are essential.  When I grow up I want to be her…lol Love her and her style!
